Now I'm confused as to how I'm supposed to actually get the Mini to "see" this drive and use the installer to install the OS on the drives inside of the unit. I used Transmac to reimage the 16gb drive with the dmg file, per several sets of instructions which all lined up and said the same thing. I downloaded an official dmg from Apple for installing Yosemite. That Mac mini (if your last screenshot is right) supports 10.13 High Sierra, so focus your efforts around that version of macOS.
